I have been exploring the healing arts since my official introduction in 2009 at Finger Lakes School of Massage in Ithaca, NY. My journey with energy work began in 2011 during my first initiation into the Western Usui Reiki system with instructor Hallie Sawyers, LMT of Soul Song Integrative Bodywork. Through the years since then, I have grown to consider myself a daily student and practitioner of Reiki. From hands on healing to learning and practicing it's wise precepts, this healing system has been deeply rewarding on many levels for me.
With a strong love for music, training in various modalities of sound healing soon revealed another exciting journey in wellness. Drawn specifically to working with singing bowls, I heard a beautiful world where literally tuning in would often result in a balancing, meditative state of being. As a healing artist, creatively balancing and clearing energy with such graceful instruments for myself, students, and clients continues to teach and grow me in stillness and presence.
Early in my wellness career, I began a dedicated practice in yoga asana for my own self care. Several years later, this path led to deepening my understanding of Yoga, beyond the physical "on the mat" practice of asana, and further into its life affirming spiritual philosophies through a 200 hr teacher training program at Beloved Yoga studio in Northern Virginia.
Growing up as a self taught visual artist with a roaming eye for found objects, I have always been excited about the tactile nature of analog collage and mixed media art. Deeply inspired by the beauty of the natural world and facets of the Divine Feminine, I create offerings and reflections on the sacred, dark, feminine qualities of life in mixed media form.
Both creative energy and vital energy are valuable ingredients in my personal healing practice and it is an absolute joy to share them with community!
